Yes, a few add ons to this question: Would we just download it and enter the key ? Will there be two guildwars icons or just one for Factions, for example one for the ordinary and one for Factions or will both be in the same icon ? Will entering the key be of any use or do we still have to ? Will the people with the original collectors be able to keep their damn aura ?

If you create a new PvE character you will see you can select either the Prophosies campaighn or the Faction's campaign. Right now you can only select the Prophosies campaign as that is Chapter 1 of Guild Wars.
So I'd say that there will only be 1 icon as they already have the means to seperate both chapter's in in the character selection/creation process already. You'll also note that when you select a character it tells you what campaign it is in... they wouldn't need to do that if you had to run seperate programs if you wanted to go to either Chapter one or 2 |

You can wait until Factions come out to talk about these questions.

basically when you buy chapter 2 you will have 2 options... 1 install the cdrom and make a NEW account that will give you 4 slots and a new account name... the downside to this method is you can not continue you character builds forward from chapter 1...
The second option I'm sure will be the default for most of you... Simply log in to your existing account go to account management Add a new key Get extra slot and acces sto chapter 2 content online... And continue on to play chapter 2... Simple as that... I would guess the Anet will make a way to update the existing gw dat file to include the chapter 2 data from cdrom. that way you can install most of it without having to download everything on your Chapter 1 installation... I will also image anet will make a wizard to do some of this by default for you. basically it will ask you to log in or something them integrate it all automatically... so we will see. but anet is that kind of company that tries to make something like this pretty painless to do...
